A budding filmographer...?

Here I am playing with Pop-Pop's tripod on Thanksgiving. I think I might have a future in film, don't you agree?

We had a party at school for Thanksgiving--my teachers set up a nice table with all kinds of treats, and I had a feast with my friends. Then on the actual day, Mommy and Daddy made a real feast! Grandmom, Pop-Pop and Aunt Rosie came over. We stuffed our faces! I wasn't really interested in the turkey--but I loved the rolls. I had four of them!

I say lots of words now...but it makes Mommy and Daddy happiest when I say "Pwease" and "Dank Ooo"!

Happy Halloween!!!

I celebrated my second Halloween as Tigger. It was so much fun. Mommy dressed as a beauty queen/politician and daddy wore a lot of gold necklaces and a funny hat. At school I marched in the Halloween Parade with my friends. That was a lot of work. Our teacher Ms. Bernadette had us practice marching all week long.

At home I played with my friends on the block and ate pizza. Mommy and Daddy took me around to visit neighbors and they kept putting things in the pumpkin bag that Grammie gave me. I ate so much pizza and I was full...so I gave it back to them. Daddy seemed sad when I gave away the Reese's Peanut Butter Cups - he really wanted me to keep them.

Into the Wild!

...or at least Ridley Creek State Park. We went for a hike a few weeks ago, but as you can see, I made Daddy do all the hard work!

I'm taking tumbling classes now every Saturday. We go through an obstacle course, throw balls through a hoop (my favorite), sing songs, and learn to roll down a slide. It's quite the workout!

I'm learning so much at school these days. Right now we're learning how red and blue make purple. I have the purple fingernails to prove it. We also had a whole unit on...BANANAS! However, I am eating apples as well these days (see above). Maybe I'll try some veggies next...but Mommy's not holding her breath!

Back to School...

Two big milestones this past week! First, I had my very last bottle. I was just having one at bedtime anyway, since I like my sippy cups and straws much better. Mommy was a little sad giving me my last bottle...I told her to get over it. It's not like I'm leaving for college--yet!

I also went back to "school" this week! Here I am sharing snacks with my friend Claire. She was in my class last year--but we were both a lot smaller! So far this week, we've gone for buggy rides, played on the football field, made art, and learned about food. I'm so happy to be back with my buddies...Mom and Dad are cool, but man, am I sick of their faces! ;)

Blue Ridge Baby!

Hi guys! I had a super-fun week. Mommy and Daddy took me to the place where they met 10 years ago...I wasn't even a glimmer yet! I made lots of friends and tried really hard to play basketball with the big boys...but they wouldn't pass to me. :(
I also visited some of my friends from daycare, and on Friday I went to the zoo with my cousin Jack! We saw all kinds of cool animals--but I was really more interested in the soda bottle Mommy let me play with.
We also went to Auntie Jenn's house for her "birfday" (that's how we say it down here.) We had Pica's pizza, yummy chicken fingers and mozzarella sticks--my favorite! (I do NOT like veggies or fruit these days--except bananas. I call them "badadas." Mommy calls me her little monkey because I eat them so much!) There were 2 other babies at the party, so we had fun stomping around and sliding down the steps.
I'm really enjoying these last few weeks of summer. It's been so fun having Mommy and Daddy around, but I'm excited to see how big my friends have grown over the summer.

Marley & Me

Happy 4th of July, everyone! Here I am with Auntie Gwen & Uncle James' big doggie, Marley. I love him so much! He let me climb all over him this weekend, and give him lots of pets and kisses.
I had a very fun 4th of July. My little cousin Kate came down from Massachusetts, and I tried teaching her how to walk. My Pop-Pop was also visiting from his summer job in Virginia, and I was so happy to see him. He brought me a little Marine Corps bib, and I feel very tough when I wear it.
We went to an ice cream festival at Penn's Landing on Saturday--and I've decided that I like ice cream now, a lot!
Hopefully next year I can stay awake for the fireworks. Maybe Mommy and Daddy will even let me hold a sparkler!

California Dreamin'...

I just got back from my THIRD trip to California! I am becoming quite the well-traveled baby!

I tried my first In & Out hamburger, but I wasn't a huge fan. :( Maybe next time.

I saw lots of friends while I was out there! One night, we had a slumber party at Uncle Dennis & Aunt Andrea's in the Valley. Luke, Max & Katie let me play with all their cool toys. I also got to play with Baby Mario--his daddy and mommy went to school with my daddy, and they kept talking about somebody named Santa Clara. (Maybe she's friends with Santa Claus?)

Aunt Rosie is jealous 'cuz I came back with a slammin' tan. (She and Mommy just burn like tomatoes.)

We bought a little pool today, so I am very excited to kick back with some ice cold bottles of milk and chill in my pool tomorrow. I love summertime!

You should see the other guy!

Check out my shiner! Mommy is horrified by it; I think it makes me look tuff. I got it by taking a header into a chair at my Aunt Madgie's party on Saturday, while trying to reach for a balloon. (But don't I look like I have street cred now?)
I am trying more and more different kinds of food now. Tonight I had shepherd's pie, and I LOVED it! (I am half-Irish, after all!)
I also love emptying out the bookshelf and pretending to talk on the phone. (But Tupperware is still my favorite toy, by far!)

I'm Walking!

Well, I've been way too busy to update my blog these days...because as you can see, I'M WALKING NOW! I took my first step on April 27, and it's been full steam ahead ever since. I can stand up on my own, and love to toddle around like Frankenstein. (Here I am practicing my ball-handling skills...watching the Lakers with Daddy all weekend inspired me!)

I was a very good boy for Mother's Day--Daddy and I let Mommy sleep in a little bit, and then we went out to dinner with Grandmom, Pop-Pop, and Aunt Rose.

I'm eating all different kinds of food now...my favorite is ham, but I'll pretty much try anything. I'm hoping Daddy will make me some ribs soon!

My First Haircut!

On Friday, Mike the Barber paid a house call for my first haircut! As you can see, I was pretty skeptical...in fact, I wound up hating it. :( But now my hair is nice and short. I feel like a mini-Marine--which makes Pop-Pop very proud!
The weather's getting nicer, so we've been taking walks after dinner all around our neighborhood. This week, we're learning about April showers and May flowers at school. I think we're making daffodil art next!

My Birthday Party

Grammie and Grampa flew on something called a plane for my birthday party. They cooked yummy food (that's what Daddy told me but he wouldn't let me have any!). PopPop did a magic show and Grandmom brought a cake (and she let me eat it!). My friends came to the party and we played in the center of the room and made a baby mosh pit. Auntie Rosie brought her friends to my party and they gave me cool things like a butterfly catcher. Thank you to everyone for my presents!!

Erin Go Bragh!

Happy St. Patrick's Day, everyone! Mommy loves this pic because it looks like I had too much Guinness...whatever that is. This is my first official "second" holiday--I don't remember much of my first Paddy's Day, just that I was still pretty annoyed about being born. ;)

I'm really enjoying my WaterBabies class...I love splashing and laughing at the other babies. I still tend to fall asleep when I'm floating on my back, though...it's just so peaceful!

I'm so excited--on Thursday, my Grammie and Grampa are coming to visit! I get to talk to them on the computer every week, but I can't wait to give them hugs in person. :)

Happy Birthday to Me!

Yesterday was my 1st birthday! My Grandmom, Pop-Pop, Aunt Rosie and Great-Aunt Debbie came over to celebrate. I got all kinds of cool stuff--Sing Along Stage (I love to sing to myself in the mirror!), a peek-a-boo bear, books, a racing ramp, pop-up blocks, and clothes (which I am always growing out of!) And on Friday, I had a pajama party with my friends at school.

I can't wait for my big party at the end of the month--when my Grammie and Grampa from California will be here!!

Smackdown!

Here I am "hanging" with Daddy. I LOVE wrestling these days. Daddy is executing his signature move on me, "The Filipino Flip." ;) I also learned to hide behind the couch and pop up to play "Peek-a-Boo". It makes me laugh so hard! I can literally play it for ten minutes, and Mommy and Daddy NEVER seem to get tired of it!

I'm starting WaterBabies class at the Y this week. I really like bathtime, so I'm pretty sure I'll like the pool. Wish me luck!

3 States in 1 Weekend!

Okay, this pic is not from this weekend...but it does show how excited I get about meeting new people! (Here I am showing my "crazy eyes" to Auntie Emily in Jersey City).
On Saturday, we drove down to Balty-more to meet my Uncle David. (He did the Volunteer Thingie with Mommy and Daddy--him and Daddy actually lived in a house with 3 ladies that year, and survived!) I had lots of fun exploring his apartment and trying to stuff M&Ms in my mouth.
Then on Sunday, we went to Camden, NJ to visit my godfather, who was in town for the weekend. I got to meet some of Mommy's former students. They gave me a soda bottle to play with, and I was so excited that I showed them my new trick--CLAPPING! I also like shaking my head really fast, bouncing up and down to music, and "reading" (well, chewing on the pages of a really good book.)
Oh, and we also drove through Delaware. But I slept through that part. :)

Single & Lovin' It!

A happy early Valentine's Day, everyone! Mommy had a snow day today, so I get to stay home with her. Daddy was VERY BITTER about having to brave the icy roads!

I'm starting to cruise a lot more, and I'm THINKING about walking. My favorite toys these days are my giant legos (they're extremely tasty...almost as tasty as the pews at church), drawer handles, and any kind of paper I can get my hands on. I also love to hang out in the kitchen while Daddy's cooking. I hope I grow up to be a great chef just like him and my Grampa!

I hope I get to go back to school tomorrow, because I can't wait to wear this shirt from my Auntie Jen...gotta let the ladies know I'm available!

My First Blog!

So, my silly mom has a blog, and I told her, "Mom, people are MUCH more interested in MY life these days...can't I have my own blog?" So here it is! I'll be telling you all about my development (6 teeth and counting!), what I learn at "school" (we just made snow art), and my favorite things (like trying to eat my doggie's food.)

Here's a picture of me on SuperBowl Sunday. My godfather and my Auntie Meg are big Pats fans, so I guess I am too. I really don't have much choice in the matter...yet. I'm a baby, after all.
